Staying Current as an English Educator
Teacher Desk.jpg

As teachers, we know how hard it can be to stay current with the ever-changing dynamics of education. It is easy to repeat the same patterns that we have followed for year. However, because our students are always changing, expectations are shifting, and standards are more rigorous, it is vital that we stay current with the changes in English education. Our students need us to adapt to things like technology and media in the classroom, along with the growing need for them to connect with each other and with their teachers.

This wiki was created to help you in your mission to stay current and up-to-date on what's new in English education. I will be keeping this wiki updated as new information and technology comes out for education. Please let me know if you have or find additional resources that I can include.

As we keep our mind-set focused on being life-long learners, I know we can continue to grow as an English Department to reach the needs of our students!

Some reflection questions to think about:
1. What have I changed/modified from last year?
2. What current trends in English education am I already including in my classroom?
3. How can I improve my classroom or teaching strategies for next year?
